So Welcome to the 7th Edition of the LindseyGurl Ezine
So before We begin I Lindsey, would like to invite Kids from all over the world to share about their lives
We all have our Favorite, and Special places we like to go on the Internet and we can share them with each other
here, in my Ezine

You Are Unique!
I like this topic because it is true, We are All unique! It all started when My friend in 7th grade said they had 'Career Day' where they look at different jobs and find out what kind of work they might want to do when they grow up
I started asking people what they thought I ought to do when I grow up.
My Mom wouldn't tell me exactly what she thought I would be good at or what kind of work I should do
She said there are special things about every one of us that make us who we are, and that is what makes us unique.
These are things only we know about ourselves like what we really like and like to do.
So, the first thing to do is figure out the things that we like to do and what we enjoy spending time doing, first.
Then, she said if I know what I like and what I am good at it will be easier to find out the things I want to do in life. From there it will be easier to look at the different kinds of work I might want to do when I grow up

What are the things that make us all individuals?
First we are all different because only one person in the world is you. You are the only one who thinks like you and has the exact birthday and time and same parents and family as you
When you are born you are given a special number that you will use to get your drivers license, passport and pay your taxes by called a social security number
This Social Security number (in the USA) is an identification and usually in the form of a card called a social security card. This card belongs to you and only you
How we think and the way we dress is one of the things we notice right away that makes us different. Then there are the ways we are different by the funny things we do and say. Of course the different kinds of friends we make and the activities we like to do are also some of the things that make us unique.
How we get along with other kids, adults, and the way we act around the house all make up who we are as individuals.
Are we animal lovers, painters, entertainers, writers, builders, designers, psychiatrists, teachers, doctors, nurses, lawyers? What do we like?
Everything we do and think makes us the individual, or unique- this is who we are.
If you are having trouble figuring out what your interests are try taking a look at one or two of your past school projects
What do they say about You? Do they tell a story or remind you of a special time or experience?

My Mission Project for School
My 4th Grade Mission Project
One of my favorite school projects was a California Mission project.
We had to pick a mission in California, and build a scale model of it from materials we use every day
Then we wrote a paper about the mission we chose and why.
I chose the Mission in Santa Barbara, California because when we lived near there we used to go on picnics, to see the rose garden, and to special events held there.
These were events like concerts, Easter, and the sidewalk painting (which was really crowded and fun).
So, since I have a lot of good memories there it was my best choice.

What I found out is it is important to Be Yourself and like the person who you are.
The best place to start when you are thinking about figuring out to do when you grow up is by getting to know yourself a little better.
Then you will be able to get a better picture of what things in life will make you the happiest
You do not have to "try" to fit in by acting like someone else
Other people will like you and even Love you for who you are the way you are. Why? Because You are Unique!
Your parents will agree that you are very special because you are you and there is only One Person like you- You.

Happy Valentines Day!
I love Valentines Day and always have
We are going to have a little Valentines Day party this Friday in school at the end of the day.
Valentines Day is on Saturday so we have to celebrate it Friday
Today we bring our 'Valentine Mail Boxes' to school so we can decorate them
Mom and I made Valentines Day cards from a website we found on the Internet (click the link below)
It was easy and really fun!
All we had to do was pick a card, print it and cut the cards out. Then fold them and write what you want , like To and From inside
Here is the website we found the card I liked:

Then we bought 30 boxes of Valentines Heart candies made by Necco, at a really good price of 5 for $1.
I like the hearts because they taste good and say weird things like "whiz kid" "hug me" "write me" "you and me" and "ur my kind" on them.
This is fun because you can see the candies in the window on the box and you can write the names of who it's from and to on the box
