Welcome to
the Eighth Ezine!
It is pretty fun and exciting to have My own Ezine
Look Mom Look World My Eighth Ezine! That Famous LindseyGurl has hit the Big Time!
Ezine meaning an Electronically transmitted Magazine Style Newsletter
Where its Interactive and can take You to Places or Show You things
Hope you Believe, like I do that if You Dream it and Believe it
Then You can Make your dreams (and maybe someone else's) come true.
So Welcome to the 8th Edition of the LindseyGurl Ezine
So before We begin I Lindsey, would like to invite Kids from all over the world to share about their lives
We all have our Favorite, and Special things we like to do.
We all have places we like to go on the Internet, and we can share them with each other
here, in my Ezine
I have started a Friends section where we

Achievment Awards
At the beginning of the school year I did not pay close attention to my school work
I just thought I could have it all done and it would be easy
I left a lot of problems out and some were not finished.
Or some assignments I just rushed through and they were pretty messy
Well, I didn't take my classwork seriously until..
The First Report Card
I could not believe that my Teacher had made a little check by each assignment that was
In her little book she kept track of everything everyone did in and out of class
So, when my Mom saw the first report card her jaw dropped way way down
She was not happy at all with what she saw!
I felt really bad and like I let her and me down. It was the time to Do Something to Change it
Class Work
From then on I decided I would get all my classroom work finished
Even if I had to stay in for recess to do it I had to get everything done that I could at school!
No more leaving problems or parts of my homework out!
Home Work
I have to tell the truth, I wasn't taking my homework seriously
First when it came to copying down the assignments a lot of the time parts were missing
Then, if I forgot any of the books I couldn't get the work done at home. So, I had to remember my books!
And last, when I got home from school the last thing I wanted to do was homework!
Everyone else got to play and I wanted to too!
But I decided if I was going to improve my report card I had to get the homework done first
As it turned out this didn't work out too bad
My friends of course thought I wasn't being very nice, but once I explained it and My Mom told them what the deal was it worked out OK
Get Up Early
Believe it or not getting up at the last minute was not working very well
It seemed like I was getting up later and later
Then I would be rushing around trying to make sure I had everything and ended up rushing out the door not really ready or without anything to eat
I had Mom set my clock for an hour earlier so I would have more time
That really helped because I had time to get something to eat, make sure my backpack had all my books and homework in it and maybe even read my email or watch TV
I am not forgetting to bring my assignments to school and don't have to call Mom to have her bring my books in any more
Things are getting better!
Now, all I have to do is remember to take a few minutes to look in the mirror I might not wear high-water pants to school! (see picture below)

How this Has Helped
So after that first Report Card I did all these things
It wasn't a lot of fun and sometimes was kinda boring
But I felt better knowing that all my work was done and I could sleep better at night time
My teacher seemed to like me more and I even got a new computer!
I feel better about myself to tell the truth and it is easier to relax or watch TV when I know I have finished the things I was supposed to get done
Achievment Award
This year is the first year I have received any special notice at school
My teacher said it was because all my work was turned in, I was paying attention and she said I am finally using my brain and showing effert
I hope this can help you see how important what I learned is, and how it can help you. Mom says if you want to copy or use this it is OK as long as you link back
