the Tenth Ezine!
It is pretty fun and exciting to have My Own Ezine
Look Mom Look World My Tenth Ezine! That Famous LindseyGurl has hit the Big Time!
Ezine means an Electronically transmitted Magazine Style Newsletter

So Welcome to the 10th Edition of the LindseyGurl Ezine
Before We begin I Lindsey, would like to invite Kids from all over the world to share about their lives. The more fun places and ideas you send to me the more I can share with others.
We all have our Favorite, and Special things we like to do.
We all have places we like to go on the Internet, and if we share them with each other here, in my Ezine we can have more fun.

I Have Wanted A Skateboard Since 2nd Grade
When I was in second grade there was a girl in my school who had a skateboard
I watched as she rode it on the way to school with her brother and when she left school she always pulled out her skateboard and was gone.
It was so different, so on-wheels, so neat!
I remember asking my Mom, "may I please get a skateboard for My Birthday? For Easter? For Christmas?" Her answer was always, "No, you have a bike and roller blades."
I think Mom was really afraid I would get hurt, or lose control and skateboard out in front of a car. I was a little afraid too, because I never could stand up on one. But I thought if I had one I would learn how to ride it.
My Skate Board Just Sat There
Almost 1 year after I asked for a skateboard I finally got one for Christmas. This was in 1999 and I was 7 years old. I was so excited! I could see myself bringing it everywhere and doing all kinds of acrabatic things on it.
The first time I tried to ride it I wasn't on for more than 30 seconds and boy! those things don't turn! Wow! The ground sure is hard!
The other thing I noticed was you can't cntrol your fall like if you were on a bike, or roller blades. So, you might just land on your head.
I admit, the only thing I could do was lie down on my skateboard and push myself along. I was scared!
Before I got much practice skateboarding we moved to Washington. None of the kids there had one so it stayed in my closet.
Plus it rained all the time, every day it rained! Or it was cold and windy. Not very good skateboarding weather. And cold! It was 20 degrees my first winter there.
So, the entire time we lived in Washington my skateboard just sat there in my closet until we moved back to California.
Scooter, Roller Blades and a Bike
Moving to California again was great! I love the warm weather and sunshine here! I also like being able to go bike riding and roller blading all year round.
I brought out my skateboard and the wheels were square. We bought a new set of wheels and then it rode great!
The WalMart store has special helmets for skateboarders and even though I am not wearing my favorite one in the picture I like it better. It looks like a mirror and people can see themselves in your helmet.
Always Put Your Skateboard in a Safe Place
I kept getting in trouble for leaving my skateboard out.
I would leave it just inside the house so I could grab it on my way out the door. Wrong! This is bad because someone, an old person even can mistakenly trip on it and fall and break a bone.
Plus Mom says I need to pick up after myself and if she left things around like I did the house would be a cluttered mess
One day the dogs got out of the yard
Mom didn't know it but I had to run and go catch them so they wouldn't get hit by a car.
I left the front gate open and my skateboard and scooter that my friend was borrowing in the front yard just inside the open gate.
Well, Mom did not know what happened and she nearly tripped on the skateboard on her way in the house.
When she noticed the skateboard and scooter there she thought I just threw them down and left so she put them in the garbage can outside so she could go find me...and the dogs
I forgot to tell her I had to run after the dogs so she really did not know where I went.
I guess she was mad to see them left out. Plus she almost killed herself tripping on the scooter on her way in the gate.
I also left the gate open which we do not do.Mom was very upset we were all missing.
By the time we found the dogs and were all home guess what ! The scooter and skateboard were gone from the trash can! Yes, they were gone, all gone!
So now not only did I not have a skateboard my scooter was gone too!
Oh, did I say Mom was mad at me?
I Finally Got A New Skateboard
On my birthday in April my Dad sent me a skateboard. This one is cool!
It is bigger than a normal skateboard and has what Mom calls "hippy flowers" on the bottom.
After what happened to the last one I am watching this one like a hawk!
It is fun to ride the skateboard while my friend rides a bike, but it is important to follow the laws and use your common sense when riding on the streets and sidewalksLearn about the laws of the road and for kids on wheels and follow them.Watch out for your buddy or buddiess! You might save their life!
Wear the helmet and any other protective gear
Always wear bright colors so cars and people can see you

Skateboarding and Things With Wheels Safety
I got careless one day and was caught skateboarding down the middle of the street on the wrong side of the road.
To make matters worse I was skateboarding without a helmet on!
Of course my skateboard was taken away, and that hurt really bad!
I also had to look up skateboarding safety on the Internet and write this so I would remember to- Follow the road rules
- Wear a helmet at all times
- Watch out for my friends

Build On Your Dream and Make It Come TrueWhen we were on spring vacation in Hawaii I thought about how lucky I was to be able to be there
I had always wanted to go there but never thought I would be actually going there! It was like, a dream come true!
I think it's important if you really want to do something you have to believe that you can do it first.
I like to read stories about kids with big dreams of being doctors or veterinarians, and really do what they dream
I guess it just makes people happier if they have a dream they are trying to make a dream come to life.
Regular dreams are fun but when I think about it most of the kids in the stories who made their dreams come true made a decision to do whatever it takes to achieve their dream
So, even if it takes a lot of hard work and people might make fun of you or say you can't even do that believe in your dream and make it happen
You will be happier!
Here I am dreaming again!
